Made in the Midlands are delighted to see another automotive coup in the region following the announcement that engines for the new Mini Cooper will be built at Ham's Hall.

MIM Director Charles Addison said: "There are so many positive strands to this story. Firstly BMW will be investing heavily in their production facilities. Secondly this has a massive ripple effect for local suppliers of components and finally I gather that Hams Hall were selected as the European production site ahead of BMW factories in Germany and Austria. This is a huge fillip for the workforce in the region and demonstrates a real return of confidence."
