All you need to know about our East Midlands Exhibition

Made in the Midlands are eagerly anticipating our biggest ever manufacturing show in the East Midlands region. 

On Thursday 17th November at iPro Stadium, Derby we will welcome over 600 representatives of the East Midlands manufacturing sector to our second annual East Midlands manufacturing showcase. The exhibition begins at 9:00am and will finish at 3:00pm. 

We will be promoting all of our exhibitor’s via our @madeinthemids Twitter account which has over 10,500 followers. To get involved with our social media interaction at the show, please use the hashtag: #EASTMIMEXPO16 

Sales Director of Alloy Heat Treatment, Ian Perks explained: “I am looking forward to meeting new faces and helping in any way I can. I also really like the speakers that will be at the show and I hope I have time to meet them.”

Alloy Heat Treatment were recently crowned the overall winners of the Made in the Midlands awards as voted by our Patrons after their recent investment in equipment, apprentices and software to secure their future growth. The Chairman of the Conservative Party and MP for Derbyshire Dales, Sir Patrick McLoughlin will be opening the show from 10:00am in the Pedigree Suite.

Sir Patrick is one of few Conservative MP’s that was a manual worker before being elected to Parliament. He left his comprehensive school in Cannock, Staffordshire without any qualifications and has previously worked as a miner.

British motorcycle marque, Norton Motorcycles will be speaking from 10:30am and they will be followed by multinational aerospace and transportation company, Bombardier from 11:00am in the Pedigree Suite.

Norton Motorcycles CEO, Stuart Garner explained: “Growing and developing the British supply chain is fundamental to Norton’s future success as a British manufacturer. To this end we are delighted to be working with Made in the Midlands and attending our local East Midlands manufacturing show with a view to engaging with more of our potential local suppliers.”
