Made in the Midlands and Threeway Pressings recently hosted a charity raffle at our Christmas Drinks celebration in support of Save the Children at Hotel Du Vin, Birmingham.
We are delighted to announce that members collectively raised £540 for the charity to signify the communal spirit within the manufacturing community. Threeway Pressings conduct charity work throughout the year and will present a Bullbarrow full of spirits to the eventual winner of the raffle which will be revealed on Friday 16th December which is Christmas Jumper Day.
Threeway Pressings Managing Director, Phil Stanley said: We are delighted that Made in the Midlands members managed to raise £540 for Save the Children. Manufacturers are never really showcased for their extensive charity work, but it is something that we are all very passionate about. Members can still support our charity fundraising by donating via JustGiving.
Made in the Midlands Managing Director, Jason Pitt added: It was our pleasure to facilitate the Christmas charity raffle in association with Threeway Pressings. Our Christmas drinks provide members with a great chance to unwind whilst discussing business, yet members still contributed massively to raising such an astonishing total for Save the Children. We hope to make this a continual feature of our Christmas celebration.
As part of Christmas Jumper Day, the Made in the Midlands team will post our group photo to the @madeinthemids Twitter account. Last year, we liked and retweeted participation from other Made in the Midlands members. If your company are celebrating Christmas Jumper Day, please feel free to send in your photos to @madeinthemids and we will share them to over 10,500 followers.
Last year, we received a wealth of brilliant entries from CMA Moldform, Pemberton Engineering, Rock Fall UK, HT Brigham, Brown & Holmes, RAPRA and Threeway Pressings to celebrate the event. Christmas Jumper Day presents a great opportunity for manufacturers to showcase their festive and communal spirits in support of a great charity in Save the Children.
Save the Children believe that every child deserves a future. In the UK and around the world, they give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. They do whatever it takes for children every day and in times of crisis transforming their lives and the future we share.
Made in the Midlands Events Manager, Iwona Sobolewska concluded: We are looking forwards to sharing our festive team photo with members. It was great to see members share the festive fun last year, so we are hoping to see even more photos this year on social media. Members raised a fantastic amount at our Christmas Drinks and we aim to smash our target of raising £750 for Save the Children.
