NetComposites to again host emerging technology feature sessions as part of the UK composites industrys largest ever open conference at the Composites Engineering Show 2013
One of the many great values to be gained by attendees at Composites Engineering 2013, part of the Advanced Engineering UK group of events, is an unparalleled opportunity to experience the latest ground-breaking engineering developments over just two days, and at first hand through the many exhibitor stands and the powerful open forums where attendees can hear what developments are currently redefining once familiar engineering landscapes. No technology has had greater impact in that respect than Composites Engineering.
UK Tech Events, the organisers of the show are pleased to announce, for another year, some five hours of embedded hosted emerging technology feature sessions over the 2 days, courtesy of headline partner NetComposites.
Tuesday 12th November
On day 1 at 10.00-11.00 the Thermoplastics session will include coverage of natural fibre long fibre thermoplastics, thermoplastic composites using nonwoven materials and the low cost prototyping of complex thermoplastic components.
At 14.00-15.00 the topical area of Biocomposites is covered, with reports on the themes of the effects of fire on biocomposites based on natural fibres and poly-furfuryl alcohol resins, emerging bio composite technologies, and regenerated cellulose based textile reinforced composites
At 15.00 the exciting area of Nanocomposites is covered with contributions covering graphene based thermoplastic masterbatches for conventional and additive manufacturing processes, nanofillers, and nanosheet-reinforced polymer nanocomposites.
Wednesday 13th November
Day 2 of the Composites Engineering Show open conference programme sees the following sessions.
At 10.00 11.00, the crucially important area of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Composites is covered, with contributions covering the use of low cost additive layer manufacturing for the repair of composite sandwich panel, moisture monitor and its uses in composite production and repair, and NDT applied to composite materials.
Completing the two day programme of NetComposites-hosted sessions, at 14.00-15.00, the theme of Composites Sustainability & Recycling comes under the spotlight, with coverage of recycling and resource efficiency strategy for the UK Composites Sector, high value nonwovens from recycled carbon fibre, and Quickscan LCA methodologies
Joe Carruthers, Managing Director at Net Composites said, What I like about the forums at the Advanced Engineering event is that they are very accessible which encourages attendance from across the board. This is a young event at which we aim to present fresh content and expert speakers on current and topical matters.
The Composites Engineering Show 2013 Open Conference programmes will be hosted in Open Forums 3 & 4, over the 2 days (12/13th November , 2013) and attendees should check the website www.compositesexhibition.com for latest programme updates.
