Made in the Midlands recently announced that the Chairman of the Conservative Party, Sir Patrick McLoughlin will be opening our East Midlands Exhibition at 10:00am on Thursday 17th November at the iPro Stadium in Derby.
We have officially sold out our exhibition stands for the Pedigree Suite and it is clear that exhibitors are excited about Sir Patricks appearance and the show. As the current MP of Derbyshire Dales, Sir Patrick will bring a wealth of local knowledge to the show, in addition to his previous experience of working as the Transport Minister.
Business Development Manager of Control Energy Costs (CEC), Liam Conway stated: Having Sir Patrick McLoughlin opening the East Midlands Exhibition shows the weight behind the membership that Made In The Midlands have the gravitas to pull in such a high profile individual.
For us, the exhibition is about connecting with the members, catching up with existing clients and having conversations with ones weve yet to work with. It allows us as Patrons to highlight what we do and showcase how we are helping members and the wider manufacturing community alike.
Made in the Midlands Patrons, CEC will be exhibiting on Stand 8 at the East Midlands Exhibition. They have ordered John Lewis vouchers as prizes for the competition that they will be running at the show, so be sure to visit their stand. CEC currently work with 47 Made in the Midlands members as independent energy and water cost auditors.
Sales Director of Alloy Heat Treatment, Ian Perks reacted: I feel Sir Patrick is well suited to open the expo due to his background, being a farm hand for some years and more importantly when he worked as a miner. He will understand what the expo is trying to achieve for manufacturing.
I am looking forward to meeting new faces and helping in any way I can. I also really like the speakers that will be at the show and I hope I have time to meet them.
