On Thursday 4th February, Made in the Midlands members were provided with a tour of Hayley Groups incredible 120,000 square feet factory in Halesowen, during their Breakfast Morning Networking event.
Hayley Group catered for just over 25 attendees in their expansive premises, to ensure that everybody felt comfortable whilst networking. Hayley Group supplied guests with a wealth of bacon rolls, egg rolls and even fruit skewers.
National Accounts Director, John Holden discussed the history of Hayley Group and welcomed everybody to the venue. Initially, Hayley Group was formulated as Hayley Bearings Ltd in 1976 and, as the name implies, specialised in bearing sales.
Hayley Bearings Ltd quickly established itself in the engineering market and with a rapidly expanding company with increasing product lines, the company changed its name to Hayley Group Plc.
Hayley Group is one of the fastest growing engineering inventory suppliers in the UK. Established for 38 years they now have 38 branches in the UK, and one in the Czech Republic.
During 2014/2015, Hayley Groups forecast was £105 million. Their stockholding is in excess of £23 million, split 40-60, 40% held at their 120,000 sq. ft. warehouse at head office in Halesowen, the balance of 60% is held locally at their 38 branches.
National Accounts Manager, Mark Harrison explained Hayley Groups capabilities and their stockholding platforms. National Accounts benefit from a totally professional service which is structured to satisfy the needs of customers and provide the security of a Supply Partnership. Attendees were then provided with a factory tour and viewed Hayley Group's exclusive Smartvend machine.
Similar to Januarys breakfast event at Wrekin Sheet Metal, Hayley Groups morning represented a continual growth in the popularity of our breakfast events. The number of attendees at Hayley Group reflected the maximum capacity of their venue. Hayley Group's event sold out within a few weeks of the start of this year. Our breakfast event tickets are usually limited, which means that for any future events please ensure that you book early so that you can potentially experience a detailed factory tour.
MiM are looking forward to our next Breakfast Event on 10th March, at O.L.D Engineering in Leicestershire. This will be the first event of the year dedicated to the East Midlands region. If you are interested in hosting a breakfast event of your own, please contact our Group Events Manager Iwona at: [email protected]
