On Thursday 12th May, Made in the Midlands will host the biggest event we have ever held to date.

We have sold all 150 of our exhibitor stands and we are expecting over 1,500 attendees to visit the GTG Training Centre in Wolverhampton for our 2016 Made in the Midlands Exhibition. The show begins at 9:00am and will conclude at 16:00pm.

These figures represent the continual growth of the company as the premier manufacturing and engineering networking peer group within the Midlands region. The past year has seen MIM grow from 200 members to well over 300 as the sector acknowledges the importance of our sector focussed events which provide a wealth of prospective business opportunities.

This year’s exhibition will include a host of manufacturing firms with turnover’s exceeding £1 million. There will be a range of free seminars designed to educate and support all of the manufacturing and engineering firms in attendance. The seminar list includes:

- 10.00am: Philippe Desnos,

President of Strategy & Aftermarket Consulting

- 11:00am Cherie Concannon

- 12.00pm: Rachel Eade MBE, RED Ltd

Business support in the new world.

- 13.00pm: Keith Stanley

Made in the Midlands CEO, Jason Pitt stated: “We are delighted to announce that we have sold out all of our 150 exhibition stands. Our exhibition will provide local manufacturing and engineering businesses with a fantastic opportunity to discover one another's capabilities prior to discussing business. This year’s show will be our best one yet and I would encourage anybody within the manufacturing industry to come along and see what the best of the Midlands has to offer.”

Furthermore, visitors to this year’s exhibition will be able to get their hands on the new printed version of the MIM buyers guide, which makes choosing a supplier easier than ever.

The Buyers guide will be split into the following categories within the manufacturing industry: Machining, Toolmaking, Casting, Fabrication, Plastic and Rubber, Electronics, Finishing and Design.

Made in the Midlands Events Manager, Iwona Sobolewska concluded: “I am extremely proud to have played such an integral role in supporting this year’s Exhibition. Liaising with all of this year’s exhibitors has revealed to myself how passionate and driven local Midland manufacturers are with regards to showcasing their sector. We hope this year’s exhibition will provide everybody in attendance with a fantastic opportunity to shout about their business.”

Japanese broadcaster NHK have confirmed that they will be providing coverage throughout the event. Japanese broadcasters are currently deeply interested in the strength of Britain's manufacturing businesses due to the potential implications of a Brexit. Japanese manufacturers do not want to be surrounded by Japan’s weak economy and ageing population. In turn, NHK want to attend our exhibition to capture how British manufacturers are promoting their business.
