Manufacturing membership association and tech platform Made in Group which includes Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire is expanding its operation after relocating to a new city centre office in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.

The move will double the floor space and create several new jobs, including membership, recruitment and Artificial intelligence.

The new office covers 1,400 sq ft in George Street and sits a short walk from St Paul's Square, the last remaining Georgian quarter in Birmingham.

Made in the Midlands was previously based at Birmingham Science Park.

Commenting on the expansion, Jason Pitt, CEO said, "Throughout the pandemic we have invested heavily in our tech platform, developing new products and we wanted to complete this investment with a new facility.

"Whilst the pandemic has created uncertainty, our approach has been to look beyond this timeframe. Our heavy investment at a time when similar firms have battened down the hatch has given us a unique head start as we emerge from the current crisis."

The leasehold acquisition was completed with the help of Maguire Jackson estate agents and Prosperity Group.

Jason added, "This is an ideal base as we continue on our next phase of growth and building on our reputation in the Midlands."
