Made in the Midlands Chief Operating Officer Charles Addison will be speaking at the NEC Birmingham during the Advanced Engineering Show at 11:30 tomorrow.

Charles will be involving Nigel Maris from Assembled Electronics Solutions, Christopher Greenough from Salop Powder Coating and Rachel Eade from Business Growth Service on a mini-panel to share their specialisms.

The Advanced Engineering Show will also offer attendees to source and do face-to-face business with 700+ supply chain engineering exhibitors, from across all high performance engineering sectors. The show will provide opportunity to network with peers and colleagues at every level of the supply chain.

Made in the Midlands represents hundreds of manufacturing and engineering companies across the Midlands. Over six years, firms in the UK that have survived and grown out of recession have seen benefit in sharing best practice, networking and overcoming differences for the greater of the sector through collaboration.

It has not been a natural or easy to adopt philosophy for many firms in this sector but we now look forward to a digital revolution in manufacturing & engineering where the world is a smaller place than it used to be.

Now, family run and owner managed SME’s need to understand the regional supply chain strengths as we face a serious skills issue and use the ‘internet of things’ to communicate, market and even sell their products and services to a hungry world market for quality products and services.

Now is the time for manufacturing and engineering to reclaim its rightful important place at the centre of our economy and these are the companies to make this possible.
