We were proud match sponsors as Wolves progressed to the second round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy at the expense of their local rivals from Walsall.

Wolves looked good value for their lead, but the Saddler’s battled hard and deservedly took the game to penalties. The home team prevailed, thanks in part to some fine goalkeeping.

Made in the Midlands Director Charles Addison enthused: “Our own team is passionate about the Midlands and we believe it’s important to support and promote the region. We also saw this as a perfect opportunity, particularly with the teams involved, to raise awareness of what we do.”

As part of our duties our party selected the Man on the Match. After some deliberation and a secret ballot Bakary Sako was chosen based on his creative spark and positive attitude on the ball. A goal in normal time (albeit a rebound from a penalty) and a more solid effort during the shoot-out also went some way to earning his award.

Charles presented Bakary with his champagne and in turn was presented with a framed, signed shirt as a momento of the evening.

Our prize draw winner Richard Homden, Director at Salop Design concluded: “I had a fantastic time and it was great to meet your media contacts.

“It was very nostalgic to see the Wolves ground again after so many years! The match was exciting and it was a first for me to see penalties in the flesh.”
