MIM members in Staffordshire will be out to impress visitors to this year’s exhibition at the Ricoh Arena.

Tamworth-based Lycett Fabrications is a first time exhibitor at the show and will be showing off its capabilities from Stand 224.

With 30 highly skilled employees based at a 26,000 sq ft production facility, the company has invested in all aspects of steel fabrication.

The factory includes provision for welding, flame cutting, sawing, machining, jig-boring, shot blasting and finishing. This enables the firm to provide a one-stop-shop service taking drawings through to finished fabrications and in doing so, ensuring complete material traceability and consistent quality control.

Lycett, which is ISO 9001: 2008 accredited, supplies bespoke, precision-made, medium and heavy gauge fabrications to customers across a wide range of demanding sectors.  These include farming and agriculture, environmental, waste management, transport, mining, architectural and yellow goods.

Exhibiting at Stand 200, Nufast is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of specialist fasteners, machined items, bespoke forged components, pressings and assemblies.

The Burntwood company’s products include cold forged components, pressings and fasteners, and its in-house precision tool room and production facilities, complete with a full range of presses, mean the firm is prepared to rise to any challenge.

Fastener products include nuts, bolts and rivets ranging in size from M5 – M33. It accommodates a variety of head styles, dimensions, grades, and finishes to create bespoke fasteners to individual requirements.

It operates partnerships with multiple vendors in the industry, which enable it to supply special finishes, patches, adhesives and many other secondary processes.

Thermaset is the UK’s largest privately owned powder coatings manufacturer and supplier.

The Tamworth-based company, which has more than 30 years’ experience, supplies companies in sectors such as automotive, architectural services, furniture making, even garden equipment suppliers.

It has enjoyed a strong start to 2018 and uses exhibitions and trade shows to meet new people, as well as catching up with some familiar faces.

Its Expo team will be sharing the firm’s considerable knowledge, answering queries and providing expert advice. It will be happy to accept challenges in the expectation it can provide a suitable solution.

Staff will also be explaining how the expansion of its Tamworth plant is allowing its various teams to work more effectively. It is also looking at expanding its workforce.

Along with this, the firm has also invested in a contemporary spray room, complete with all of the latest technologies to assist its laboratory staff.

It fulfils bespoke orders requiring just a few kgs of powder coating, right through to long-term contracts requiring tonnes.

Nigel Crane, Commercial Manager, said: “Each made to match colour we receive provides us with a chance to do some highly convenient and effective research and development. Our R&D team are also busy on new projects that we are excited to share with you all in the future.”
