The former Labour Party leader was first elected to parliament in 1974 and was appointed to Neil Kinnocks shadow council in 1983. She was leader of the Labour Party after the passing of John Smith between 1992 and 1994 and has served numerous positions in the Cabinet including Business Secretary, Leader of the House of Commons and Foreign Secretary.
November 12th 2015 marks the launch of the inaugural Made in the Midlands Exhibition in the East Midlands. Following six successful annual shows in the West Midlands, Made in the Midlands members from Derby, Nottingham and Leicester have been asking for a show presence in the East Midlands to grow Made in the Midlands in this area. Interest in the event is increasing as some of our West Midlands Members have leapt at the chance to feature at this fledgling event which will follow the same format of a table top exhibition as seen at the earlier Made in the Midlands events.
Made in the Midlands Chief Executive, Jason Pitt said I am really excited to have Margaret Beckett on board to open the East Midlands Exhibition. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and we cant wait for her to share some of her experiences and for Mrs Beckett to see what some of the most successful and diverse companies in the region are producing.
Tickets to attend the exhibition are free for manufacturing firm. You can register for a ticket on the link below.
