We are delighted to announce our latest competition exclusively for Made in the Midlands members.
We have kept back one place on our table of ten at the sold out Midlands Engineering Dinner at the ICC Birmingham on Friday March 21st (currently made up of MIM staff, Midlands manufacturers and key regional journalists) and we are offering it as a prize to one lucky member.
To be in for a chance of joining us at this essential black tie engineering event all we need to know is: In which year did the Midlands Engineering Dinner originate?
Please send your answer to [email protected] by 1pm on Friday 14th March. We will put all of the correct entries into a prize draw and contact the winner on Monday 17th March.
About the Midlands Engineering Dinner:
The function is a joint event organised by local committee members from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (The IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). The two Institutions have a combined total membership of 200,000 worldwide and some 20,000 across the Midlands, our Members work in all sectors of Science, Engineering and Technology.
Although the event is organised and marketed by the Institutions, the format is one of a business style, networking event. The dinner has been marketed as a function run by engineers for engineers and the business community. The overall aim of the dinner is to raise the profile of the profession and to ensure that the region is aware of the vital economic contribution made by the engineering community.
The organising committee is dedicated to building the dinner into the premier engineering event in the Midlands, providing a platform for engineers to be seen and heard.
Since 2004, the event has grown in profile and prestige. The function is now one of the most sought after on the business and social calendar.
