Made in the Midlands celebrated our annual Christmas drinks on 9th December at Hotel Du Vin, Birmingham. The drinks are a celebration of a successful year for Made in the Midlands members and patrons.
Guests were supplied with a wealth of networking opportunities, as 151 people registered to attend the event. MiM supplied guests with a selection of drinks on a free bar throughout the night. Guests were also treated to an appearance from Salop Design's famous truck playing a range of Christmas jingle's. MiM COO Charles Addison delivered a speech thanking everyone for their attendance, whilst reflecting on 2015 and wishing everyone a merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
Made in the Midlands hosted a Live Periscope stream between 5-6pm. The stream covered the following topics: Reflections on 2015, company successes, investment opportunities, aspirations for 2016 and the quest for a Santa Selfie.
Threeway Pressings Managing Director, Philip Stanley alerted a range of attendees to Threeway's support of Crowe Clark Whitehill in their fundraising for the Air Ambulance. This is part of an initiative at Threeway to support companies who aim to donate to charity throughout the year, as a method of giving back to the local community.
As a result of this, Made in the Midlands have launched our own Text Santa competition, in relation to Christmas Jumper Day on 18th December. We want to raise £500 for the following charities: Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Save the Children. Threeway Pressings will supply a wheelbarrow full of alcohol to the person who posts the best picture to our social media accounts.
