Petford Tools value the communal spirit of MIM Breakfast event

On Thursday 21st April, Made in the Midlands Gold members Petford Tools Ltd hosted the latest sell-out Breakfast Networking event at their premises in Dudley.

The event included 60-second mini-presentations from all attendees and an expansive factory tour. The morning received positive feedback via Social Media, as Hepworth International said: “We would like to thank @madeinthemids for organising the breakfast morning at Petford Tools - We are looking forward to the next event!”

Petford Tools are specialist Toolmakers for Plastic Injection, Compression and Composite Moulds. It is the policy of Petford Tools, to provide a toolmaking service which completely meets their customer's requirements, specifications and expectations. Their documented systems are designed to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001-2001.

Their facilities can cater for tools up to 50 tonnes, as they have the largest capabilities for these type of technical tools in the UK. Their operations cover seven days a week and offer 24-hour working for those ever demanding short lead-time programmes. This also gives customers the added comfort factor that tools will and can be maintained and supported whatever the time to meet those ‘just-in-time’ supply to key OEM’s.

Petford’s event sold out weeks prior to taking place which continued the trend of sell-out Breakfast events. Nick Howard, Sales Director explained: “I’ve got to say it was very successful, it's nice to see that we had a good turnout. There was a good mixture of suppliers and potential customers. For us, it's an event which shouts about what we do but it is good for us to have a look at other suppliers and see what they can offer us.”

Petford highlighted all of the manufacturing capabilities of their company, following their factory tour. Nick stated: “Sometimes you don’t know what manufacturers are next door and who’s around the corner. You can be dealing with companies miles and miles away, but these are local people and I feel like it is always good to support your local community.

Our next Breakfast Networking Event will take place at Boneham and Turner Ltd in Sutton-in-Ashfield on 19th May at their premises on Oddicroft Lane. Our Breakfast Networking events are hugely popular amongst MIM members, as signified by continual sell-outs we have hosted this year.
