With another East Midlands Breakfast Club on the 19th March, we are taking a look at the region's inaugural event which was hosted by product development company, Rapitypes, back in December.

The Leicester based company boasted a state of the art facility, extensive client base and warm welcome, showing it's fellow members that the Black Country is not the only place with something to shout about.

Similar to other MIM breakfast events, the morning consisted of copious amounts of coffee and breakfast nibbles, and offered a buzz of excitement as members chatted and exchanged business cards.

Once everyone had woken up, Rapitypes followed with a short presentation where they provided an introduction into their supporting activities at prototyping and development within a variety of manufacturing sectors, from automotive to medical.

The day proved a great success and a wonderful example of what the East Midlands has to offer.

And it doesn’t stop there.

This month, we are pleased to announce our second East Midlands Breakfast Club, based at one of our newest member’s premises, Taylors Transport International, In Nottinghamshire.

The freight and logistics company will be hosting the next event on March 19th at their new offices in Sutton-In-Ashfield and are delighted to represent the area.

Jean-Gil Abbate, General Manager of Taylor’s Transport International said: "Taylors Transport International is delighted to be the second company to host a Made in the Midlands breakfast club in the East Midlands."

He continued: "We recently joined as Bronze members and are thrilled to be given the opportunity to represent the East Midlands and to be able to showcase our new premises and head quarters at this up and coming event. We anticipate all of the delegates will have an enjoyable and successful networking event.”

Abigail Leachman, Made in the Midlands membership avisor for the East Midlands added:

"The East Midlands has been developing fast in the last few decades and local companies are beginning to notice. As Made In The Midlands continues to expand into the area, companies like Rapitypes and Taylors are showing us what the East has to offer and are representing a united voice for this part of the country.

By continuing to host our breakfast club in a variety of locations across the Midlands, Made in the Midlands are opening up multiple opportunities for our members to get involved and increasing our presence across all regions.

We welcome any of our members to come along to the Breakfast Club on March 19, by visiting our events page.

It would be great to see you there.
